As with most gamers, you’ve probably asked yourself who the strongest indie game characters are. You may have even fantasized about gathering a bunch of them up from their respective games and throwing them together in a frenzied brawl to the death. What you’ve been dreaming about is the indie character fighting game, Bounty Battle. And your dream is about to become a reality.
Bounty Battle is a one- to four-player 2D beat ‘em up featuring characters from all over the indie game world. Titles like Gaucamelee!, Dead Cells, Darkest Dungeon, and Owlboy are just a few represented. There are over 25 characters from 20 different titles. Each fighter comes with their own minion companion, as well as a unique set of abilities.
Check out the Nintendo Switch version’s new trailer below.
Bounty Battle will feature Couch Multiplayer, Practice, and Tutorial modes, but also a unique Story Mode. In the story, a supernatural event has caused numerous vortexes to appear across the multiverse. This mysterious event also gifted the greatest warriors from each world magical powers. And they’ve all had bounties placed on their heads.
Each champion will battle on behalf of their world and attempt to seize control of the multiverse through conquest. The stages for these battles are mostly inspired by the indie games the various characters hail from.
