Xbox Project xCloud exclusive games not happening

Xbox Cloud Gaming coming to PC next spring, 2021 Game Pass titles revealed

The power of the cloud.

Xbox continues to roll out its cloud gaming program to as many systems as possible, with PC coming in the not-too-distant future. The tech saw a limited rollout across Android devices earlier this year, but Microsoft ran into problems with the iOS platform. It seems Microsoft has finally found a workaround for iOS though. The company just provided an update on when the alternate mobile platform, and PC, will start to get cloud gaming features.

Microsoft is targeting spring 2021 for a rollout on PC and iOS. This essentially means that you’ll be able to stream high-end graphics to a low-end PC. It will be great for builds that wouldn’t be able to run the games natively. For PC, the service will be delivered through the Xbox app on Windows, although a browser version will also be available. The announcement post uses the Surface Pro as a device example, so Xbox Cloud Gaming on Windows won’t be limited to just PCs.

Alongside the rollout to new systems, Microsoft is expanding region support for the platform. Cloud gaming through Game Pass Ultimate will be available in Australia, Japan, Brazil, and Mexico come next spring. If you are interested in trying Xbox Cloud Gaming on an iOS device, Microsoft’s workaround calls for the use of the mobile browser, rather than a dedicated app.

Expanding Game Pass

This Xbox update also covers what’s coming to Game Pass next year. The preview list contains a lot of what we know already such as Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2, and the grotesque-looking Scorn. However, the tease for new announcements has already begun.

The annual The Game Awards show takes place tomorrow on December 10, and it looks like Microsoft will be present. The company says to expect more surprises for the Xbox platform going forward. That of course means more games coming to PC, alongside the expansion of its Game Pass library.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming to PC in spring of 2021.
