The Meta Quest 2 how to connect to pc

Xbox Cloud Gaming will soon be available on the Meta Quest store

Xbox is everywhere.

The virtual reality space has been through a lot of changes over the years, with more advanced headsets radically improving the capabilities of this technology. Despite the improvements to virtual reality, it’s still the games that will draw players to the peripherals. For many players, a single great game isn’t enough to justify the expensive price of a high-end virtual reality headset. But what if there was a far bigger library to draw from? Well, Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming to the Meta Quest store at some point in the future. A new post on the Oculus website discusses the new announcement.

“Xbox Cloud Gaming enables you to stream hundreds of high-quality games to a range of devices—and that will include Meta Quest 2 in the future,” it reads. And once Xbox Cloud Gaming launches on the Meta Quest, players can simply hook their Xbox controller to the headset and play games from the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library on 2D screen. The post also says that the release date isn’t confirmed but the team “[hopes] to share more on this as soon as possible.”

The future of VR

The eventual addition of Xbox Cloud Gaming is sure to be an enticing prospect for players who are already subscribed to Xbox Game Pass. It’ll add hundreds of games to the VR experience for players using devices like the Meta Quest 2 without the need to spend any extra on VR titles.

While it has taken a while, it appears that the VR space is slowly growing. Oculus mentions that $1.5 billion has been spent on the Meta Quest store thus far. On top of that, “roughly one in three titles are making revenue in the millions.” Games like Among Us VR, The Walking Dead chapter 2 VR, and Iron Man VR are also on the way for Meta Quest 2 owners, ensuring plenty of content to come for VR players.
