Microsoft announced today that it will hold its Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12. Will Tittle, editor-in-chief of Xbox Wire, writes, “This show will feature amazing titles coming from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and our partners around the world. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will include everything you need to know about the diverse lineup of games coming soon to the Xbox ecosystem, including upcoming releases to Game Pass on Xbox and PC.”
There are no other available details about the event just yet. However, it is reassuring to know that traditional summer game events like this will continue, even without the presence of E3. The teaser image for the event includes the Xbox logo drifting in space. It’s been a long time coming but this event could likely be the big blowout for Bethesda’s sci-fi space RPG, Starfield. The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase will streaming on June 12 at 1 PM ET. It will be available to watch across a range of streaming platforms.
Microsoft has a lot it can show
Last year, the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase impressed with a wide variety of new game announcements. It revealed games like The Outer Worlds 2 and a cooperative heist game called Contraband, among many others. A lot of these games have been radio silent since then, and some updates would be appreciated.
Starfield could lead the charge with a first official look at gameplay. Bethesda can also show gameplay and provide a release date for Arkane’s vampire FPS, Redfall, which is due out this summer. Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has been in development for a long time, so it would be nice to see more of it. Finally, Microsoft has tons of games that we have seen extremely little from. Games like Fable, Avowed, State of Decay 3, Perfect Dark, and the Indiana Jones title from MachineGames are all potential things we could see at the event.
On top of all of that, there is still the possibility of brand-new game announcements and tons of new additions to PC Game Pass. What are you looking forward to most?
