As a kind of reward for sticking with X Rebirth for so long, Egosoft is giving away the upcoming DLC for free until 1 November. You do need to already own X Rebirth, but if you do, then The Teladi Outpost can be attached to your account for free. It’ll be actually released in December.
This expansion will add a new storyline to the game, plus a new star system with a pair of sectors to explore. There, you’ll find a Teladi star port, factories and a whole bunch of Teladi ships.
X Rebirth’s Patch 3.0 will be released in conjunction with the DLC in December, but before that there’ll be a Patch 2.50 released. That’s said to be coming “soon,” and when it is released here’s what changes will be included:

Having not played X Rebirth since its rather terrible launch, I’ve no idea if the game is working properly yet. I can’t help but notice that’s quite a lengthy list of things that are still being fixed, though.
