World of Warcraft players in China may finally get to play Wrath of the Lich King soon, around one year after players in the west got their hands on the expansion. An unnamed source from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China told uuu9.com that Wrath of the Lich King may be available by the middle of November. However, WoW’s second expansion hasn’t been given the go ahead just yet, and operator NetEase still has “a lot of preparation to do” if they are to remove all the ‘unhealthy’ content found by the General Administration of Press and Publication. The amount of work involved in making the game suitable for China was highlighted recently, when GAPP insisted that all images and graphics showing bones or decapitated heads had to be removed or replaced.
