The latest in a series of ‘leaks’, which apparently gives details of World of Warcraft’s rumoured next expansion, has WoW fans already planning their next characters.WoW.com is claiming it has insider knowledge about the next WoW expansion, and says the persistant rumours of two new playable races have turned out to be “more or less true”.As discussed a couple of weeks ago on Worldofwar.net, this would fit with various theories that have been floating around for months. The globe of Azeroth as seen in the Halls of Lightning (inset) shows a Kalimdor with a big hole in the middle of the continent, so is a new Cataclysm is on its way? Does it show the future or the past? As for the new classes, the Worgen and Goblin masks that were datamined recently started off the rumours of new races last month. However, Blizzard added a bunch of new masks in the next build of the client which threw off the theorists, but was this a cover-up by Blizzard or a trick to get fans talking? We contacted Blizzard for a comment on these latest claims, but as we knew before we asked, they won’t comment at all on rumours or speculation. Anyway, we’ll find out for sure next week when Blizzard makes all the announcements at BlizzCon 2009. We’ll be there, reporting from the show floor as usual.
