Every way to get threads in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria

Every player is given the Cloak of Infinite Potential when starting out in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. This item is a blank slate when you get it, but as you find different threads of time, you’ll benefit from a variety of stats buffs.

Different threads of time will offer different stat increases:

  • +1 Strength
  • +2 Stamina
  • +1 Critical Strike
  • +1 Haste
  • +1 Leech
  • +1 Mastery
  • +1 Speed
  • +1 Versatility
  • +1% Experience Gain

These threads can be found in a variety of ways, from:

  • Random drops by any enemy
  • Opening Treasure Chests
  • Flying through Bronze Orbs scattered throughout Pandaria
  • Completing dungeons, scenarios, and raids
  • Opening Cache of Infinite Treasure that’s awarded from quests

There are 12 Infinite Power achievements that relate to the collection of these threads, so if you wish to complete Infinite Power XII to have earned all the Pandaria cloak toys, then you’ll need to know the best way to farm them.

It’s worth noting that the higher your level – the more threads you’ll earn from those sources. As Mists of Pandaria is a leveling event, I’d suggest that you get to level 70 by playing through the main content.

Passively, whilst doing this, you can expect to have gained at the very least a couple thousand threads. And once you’re max level, grinding for the threads will become novel.

To finish up the achievement, the best way to farm threads is by clearing dungeons. At max level, you’ll be earning loads of threads from these dungeons, so you won’t have to worry about grinding for hundreds of hours.

Just enjoy the event, and once you’re max level, hit up those dungeons.

How to know how many threads you have in Mists of Pandaria

Unfortunately, there is no way to know exactly how many threads you have in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, at least not at a glance.

The only way I’ve figured you can know the number of threads of time you have is by hovering your cursor over your Timerunner’s Advantage icon at the top of your screen. This will tell you what buffs you’re benefiting from, thanks to the Cloak of Infinite Potential and your collected threads.

Divide each stat by the increased amount an individual thread would give you, and add them all together. For example, I know I had 44 threads due to the stat increases at the time of taking the above screenshot.

The Infinite Power XII achievement will reward you with exclusive cloak toys from the Mists of Pandaria event, although there are many more toys and items to collect. Good luck!
