World of Warcraft fans are going to have to keep waiting for the movie version of the game which is being directed by Duncan Jones.

According to Variety Legendary and Universal have been busy shuffling release dates around and the WoW movie is just one of the projects to get shunted back.

The movie was supposed to be released on Friday 18 December according to the announcement back in early October but now we won’t be visiting Azeroth until 11 March 2016. It’s not a huge delay but it’s a delay nevertheless.

According to the Variety report, the WoW movie would have released the same day as the new Star Wars movie so it makes sense to move the date as there will be some audience crossover and Legendary will be wanting to get as much exposure for their WoW project as possible.

It will be released eventually. No, really it will.
