Wolfenstein Dev Throws Down The Gauntlet To Madden

This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

A member of the Wolfenstein development team has offered to reimburse buyers if the game is outsold by Madden NFL 10 in August. Lead designer at Raven Software, Maneev Heir, revealed the news on his Twitter page:“Here’s the deal folks: if Wolfenstein outsells Madden 10 in August I will personally pay for your copy (keep your receipt) – SPREAD THE WORD,” he wrote.“And so everyone knows I’ll be using the NPD numbers to determine if we outsold Madden 10 – but anyone can be reimbursed worldwide.”He went on to add some stipulations to the challenge:“Rules clarification since I’m getting questions: Any platform, using NPD numbers, need a copy of your receipt, you must follow me on Twitter,” he added.“Limit one free copy per follower (I can’t believe I actually have to state that).”It seems his bold statement has impressed his workmates :“Everyone in the office is coming up to me and laughing or high-fiving me or going “good job” as they are finding out about the offer I made.”However, we suspect Heir, who describes himself as an “obsessive drunkard” in his Twitter profile, may have had one too many if he thinks his game will beat Madden. What do you think?
