Since Geralt is such a sweetie dreamboat, CD Projekt Red and Valve have made his adventures free to access for the course of the weekend. If you enjoy this first date, you can … err … buy him forever for a low price. Damn, this analogy went to a bad place.
Anyway, the point is you can download and play The Witcher and The Witcher 2 for free this weekend, but they’ll disappear like Cinderella’s baubles come 1pm Pacific Time on Sunday. If you can manage to play through both games in that amount of time, then you’re some kind of gaming superman. You’re not supposed to finish them though, you’re supposed to think “oh this is quite good” and then buy one or both of them at 80% off.
The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut will be $2.00 USD until 18 February, while The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhance Edition will be $4.00 USD until the same date.
Valve is also running a Steamy Valentine’s Day sale event with a few games in it, like Thirty Flights of Loving (ahh, do you see?) Alan Wake (ahh, do you see?) and Long Live the Queen (ahh, do you … actually I don’t know if I do – the queen can fall in love, I guess?)
