Modern Warfare 3 is the latest high-flying shooter within the iconic Call of Duty franchise and thus has gained a ton of attraction in recent weeks.
However, one game mode has not gotten too much attention in the form of Hardcore, and fans are starting to ponder if the mode is even in MW3?
Is Hardcore In Modern Warfare 3?
For those who don’t already know, Hardcore has been one of the most iconic game modes within the Call of Duty franchise for as long as we can remember. The mode offers a unique style of play for players, differing from the standard game modes, as every shot truly matters in Hardcore.
Players do not have access to a HUD while playing, alongside the fact that the TTK (time to kill) is significantly increased, making for some quick eliminations.
So, one can see why this mode is so loved and has also become a fan favourite for completing weapon challenges in the past, but in recent years, it has been renamed to Tier 1.
However, in Modern Warfare 3’s initial announcement blog, they noted that the increased health in this year’s title, will not affect Hardcore mode; confirming that they’re reverting the name back.
“Core Multiplayer Health is increased to 150, lengthening the Time-to-Kill (TTK). Hardcore mode is not affected.”
So, in short, yes, Hardcore is going to be in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, and we’re amped to dive into this year’s title and see what it has to offer.
This is also going to add to the return of many classic features for Call of Duty fans, as during the recent beta for Modern Warfare 3 players were overjoyed with the return of other features such as the red dots on their mini-map, and classic weapons.
