If you’re a Mac user and looking to get into the world of gaming you will find your options rather limited. Sadly, despite the impressive processing power of Apple products, Macs have very few games available. The platform is often overlooked with new releases. If you want to play the multi-award-winning Diablo 3 though, you’re in luck. Blizzard decided to port it across for Apple enthusiasts to enjoy, But will Diablo 4 be available on Mac? The Apple fans who cut their teeth on the previous games wait with bated breath.
Are Mac users able to play Diablo 4 at launch?
Pre-orders of Diablo 4 have rolled out a while ago now and Mac is remarkably absent from the lists — it won’t be on the platform at launch. This does not point in a good direction for anyone wanting to play it on the iMac or Macbook Pro. The game has been announced on a huge range of consoles and platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Windows, and Xbox One, X, and S.
Of course, a partition to the hard drive of a Mac to run Windows is always a possibility, but this will take away from the storage space you have available. The process is quite tricky but it will make the most of the considerable processing power available with a Mac.
All is not lost. Sometimes a company will use the money from the sales of people who own computers with operating systems focused on gaming and port the game across to Mac. If the demand is high enough, Apple users may be able to get their hands on the game a year or so after release.
If you’re really keen to get your hands on it, you could possibly pick up a very cheap PlayStation 4.
Perhaps, with the release of the new integrated M chips in Apple products, we may see more games brought to Mac.
