NCSoft and Carbine have finally nailed down a date for the launch of the free to play version of Wildstar.
The cartoony looking MMO had F2P written all over it before it even launched and when NCSoft finally decided to offer it for free it was no huge surprise. It’s and incredibly stylish looking game but the game is essentially the usual MMO style of gameplay we’ve seen time and time again.
The second phase of the F2P beta kicks off today which Carbine say will be focusing on “fine-tuning” before release at the end of the month and to also test micro-transactions with NCoin. Don’t complain about micro-transactions, it is going to be free after all.
If you need another MMO in your life then Wildstar’s F2P model will be launching on 29 September with a load of improvements and new content. Beta sign-ups are still being taken if you’re interested.
