How to fix Unsupported GPU error in COD Warzone Mobile

Why are Visual Quality options locked in COD Warzone Mobile?

Will your phone burn to death or is there a fix?

Since the soft launch of COD Warzone Mobile, many players have been trying to figure out why they can’t change their assigned graphics settings. This could cause many issues, such as overheating, or may simply curse you with terrible graphics.

Can you change Graphics Settings for COD Warzone Mobile?

Currently, it is impossible to change the Visual Quality in COD Warzone Mobile.

Upon installing and launching the game, your graphics settings will be decided for you, based on your phone and its capabilities. This may either mean that you’re stuck with low-end graphics, or will mean that your phone becomes a pocket-sized supernova.

This is because the game has only been “soft launched,” so certain features are unavailable. It will be in this state for the next many months until everything becomes operational. Setting the graphics to your phone’s default was the easiest way to go about this until they implement proper graphical settings changes.

So don’t worry — it’s not something wrong with your phone in particular, it’s universal across all players. All we can do is wait for the functionality to change Visual Quality, so until then, it’ll remain locked.

Many updates will hit COD Warzone Mobile over the next months, so hopefully the feature to change graphics settings will roll around sooner rather than later. However, it may not be a priority, so may be on the back burner for later updates. There have been a fair amount of complaints, so maybe they’ll hasten their progress.

If you’re stuck with potato graphics then this isn’t too bad, but if your phone is heating up because of the high-quality settings, then you may be concerned for your phone. Phones are rather robust, but if the battery heats up often or too much, your device’s lifespan can be reduced. In the worst-case scenario, it may cause damage to your phone.

The only way to mitigate this damage is by not playing for extended periods, and making sure there’s nothing your phone is running simultaneously to prevent as much stress as possible. If your case is particularly bad, then you may have to abstain until they implement the graphical change feature.

This isn’t the only issue COD Warzone Mobile has faced, although it is the most troubling for many players. I hope the Visual Quality update will roll around soon enough for you to play it.
