Where to tame a Ghost Cat in WoW Classic Season of Discovery (SoD)

Where are you kitty.

WoW Classic is the game we all know and love from the past, and with the new Season of Discovery, the game’s most popular class, Hunter, is on the hunt for new pets. One of these is the Ghost Cat or Ghost Saber, and we’re going to run over where players will be able to tame one, too.

WoW Classic Season of Discovery (SoD): Where to tame a Ghost Cat

World of Warcraft has added new classes throughout the years, including the new Evoker class in Dragonflight, and while we’re inclined to try these, Hunters are still at the top of the mountain.

The beloved class is most well known for being able to have pets alongside them in combat, and in retail WoW, there are nearly 2000 tameable pets in the game.

However, we’re concerned with Classic WoW, and the newly released Season of Discovering, where players will have a limited selection of pets to choose from, so you’re going to want the coolest-looking ones.

Where to tame a Ghost Cat

The Ghost Cat/Saber is one of these, and players will want to venture throughout the land to find one. If you’re looking for one in WoW Classic, the best location is Darkshore.

Once you are in Darkshore, head towards the upper-right portion of the map, where you will find them in abundance.

Hunters will need to dismiss their current pet, approach one of these Ghost Cats, and use the Tame Pet spell, which should already be on your hot bar.

Once this is complete, you’re able to call it to aid you in combat, along with renaming the pet to whatever your heart desires.

However, if you’re on the Alliance side, you’re going to need a plan to get from Darkshore to Stormwind, and we’ve got you covered with full directions here.

One may assume when playing WoW that the type of pet you have as a Hunter is going to affect some of your attack power, but not directly. This is a myth, as pets are purely cosmetic throughout the game, and players take great pride in acquiring ones that match their transmog, or look the best.

Whichever pet you choose within World of Warcraft, we’re sure it will look stellar, so be sure to let us know!

Regardless of what pet you have, those critters are going to get hungry. So be sure to read our guide on how to feed your pets in WoW Classic.
