Night Thorn seeds are part of the story quest ‘Forgotten Memories: Nuturing’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley, a quest already quite the surreal departure from the regular game itself with a lot of context buildup. This quest will give you several Night Thorn seeds with instructions on where to plant them in the memory’s version of the Sunlit Plateau. Not all of the locations have an overworld equivalent, so here’s where to plant Night Thorn seeds in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Night Thorn seed guide in ‘Forgotten Memories: Nuturing’
The Night Thorn seeds must be placed in groups of five near three locations: The Giant Dreamlight Tree, the Pillar of Nurturing, and the Mine Entrance and Waterfall.
To get to this quest, you must have Minnie Mouse and the Forgotten Lands unlocked. Minnie Mouse is unlocked through advancing Mickey’s friendship questline, and The Forgotten Lands need 15,000 Dreamlight to unlock.
You’ll proceed with a quest chain with The Fairy Godmother until you end up reliving the Forgotten’s memories. Scar will give the Night Thorn seeds to you during one of the relived memory to discover who The Forgotten is after you destroy eight flowers around the limited map. He tells you planting them will weaken the Orb of Nurturing further.
Night Thorn seeds Planting Locations
While the map of the Sunlit Plateau featured here is simplified compared to the overworld, missing the second half of the map, most everything is still in the same place. To place the Night Thorn seeds in their proper locations, dig a hole next to each location listed above. The Pillar of Nurturing is the easiest landmark, considering its the focus of this quest. Digging five holes next to it and planting them is simple.
The Mine Entrance and Waterfall is where you ventured in when you unlocked the Sunlit Plateau. It’s south of the Pillar of Nurturing and then East by the river bridge. Dig holes on either side of the waterfall and plant the Night Thorns.
The Giant Dreamlight Tree is the outlier, as it does not exist in the normal overworld. However, it’s still pretty easy to spot. It towers above the other trees in front of the waterfall across the bridge with blueish green leaves and sparkles. There’s plenty of space around it to dig holes and water the thorns.
Once they’ve all been watered and sprouted, the Orb falls out of the Pillar and the quest soon completes. Night Thorn seeds don’t reappear beyond this point as we know of.
