Where to locate the crash site near the Observatory in Warzone 2 DMZ

The first step of the Break Check mission is to “Locate the car crash site near the observatory.” As the mission describes, this car crash can be found just outside of Zaya Observatory in Al Mazrah. More specifically, the car crash site is located to the south of the observatory on the dirt road that leads toward the highway.

After arriving at the crash site near the observatory, you’ll need to explore the crash site and extract the hard drive in DMZ. You are looking for an Ashika Security hard drive, which can be found somewhere close to the crashed car. The location of this hard drive is somewhat random, but it will always spawn within a close radius of the car.

Something to keep in mind is that, since this mission is new, a lot of players are going to be trying to complete it. Due to this, you should be prepared for a gunfight. The observatory is already somewhat of a PvP hotspot so adding in an area-specific quest is only going to amplify that.

If you managed to retrieve the hard drive from the crash site near the observatory and get out alive, you’re almost done with the Al Mazrah portion of this DMZ mission. The last step is to get to your closest extract spot and take the helicopter once it arrives. However, to finish Break Check, you’ll want to check out our follow-up guide on where to find the dead drop on Ashika Island.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is free to play on both Battle.net and on Steam.
