Tears of the Kingdom – where to get Sticky Frogs

Given how much time you spend climbing while traveling throughout Hyrule, you have probably run into situations where rain started and you went sliding from your perch. You can stay where you are and wait out the weather, or you can learn how to make Sticky Elixir.

Sticky Frogs are one of the main ingredients in that precious elixir. To find Sticky Frogs, travel to Kakariko Village in the northern portion of the West Necluda region. The road leading south toward Dueling Peaks Stable passes through a long canyon. You will find several frogs clinging to the wall not far from the village (see the map below).

Whenever I head along the canyon toward Kakariko Village, I take time to catch two or three frogs. It’s a convenient location because you can fast travel to Makasura Shrine (overlooking the village) any time you need more frogs for the pot. I find around three frogs in the areas to the south of the village, and another five frogs along the canyon leading to its northwest.

Besides the canyons close to Kakariko Village, Sticky Frogs do appear in other similar regions. Most of your additional opportunities to find them take place in the vicinity of the Lanayru Great Spring. It’s on fairly high ground, so the best way to get there is to fast travel to the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and then look directly forward. There should be a few frogs along that wall, including one directly ahead of you.
