Once you have figured out how to get in and out of the various zones of the Olympic Peninsula, you’re going to want to start upgrading your garage and gear. To do this, you’re going to need to collect Energy, which must be gathered in Pacific Drive. Here’s how to grab it.

How to collect Pacific Drive Energy

Looking at the Fabrication Station in Pacific Drive will show you a list of all the upgrades you can unlock with the right materials. The early-game elements need Stable Energy, later-game upgrades require Unstable Energy, and end-game items need Chaos Energy. This Energy needs to be collected from inside the various zones of Pacific Drive. The further in the more dangerous the Energy.

To find the sources of energy, look for the yellow markers on your in-car map. The bigger the source of energy, the bigger the yellow marker. Head towards these, but be aware they are usually off the road, so you may have to walk to them. Make sure you mark the location on your in-car map before setting off.

Make your way to one of the various ARC Anchors marked with yellow dots. Once you reach them, you will find the Energy Sphere at the bottom. Take this and return it to the passenger side of your car to deposit the energy in Pacific Drive. You can collect as many as you like to bring back. You can see how much energy you have managed to collect on the specific Pacific Dive run by looking at your in-car map.

Once you have collected as much energy as you like, you will be able to open one of the portals back to the base. Make it back in one piece to harvest the Energy to use in the Pacific Drive Fabrication Station. As you progress through the various zones, you will unlock more dangerous energy used for fabricating the more advanced items such as the Flashlight.
