You can snag this gear for every single Job you get to 99 with from the NPC vendor Mewazunte in Tuliyollal (X: 12, Y: 13). The game tells you where to get the gear during the story, however, if you’re a cutscene skipper like myself, you might be confused where to go. And the best part of this sweet gear is that it’s completely free costing you no Gil or resources.

There’s a lot of new stuff to do in Dawntrail, but most people are going to make a B-line straight for the story (so much so, that you might need to hide other players to start quests). While you’re leveling your character along with the story, you’ll earn gear from dungeons, trials, and quest rewards.

As you get closer to the end of the expansion, you’ll get the chance to grab some decently high item-level gear. The gear is level 99 and will set you up perfectly for anything you decide to do after the story finishes.

This is on par with every other expansion that’s come out, so long-time players should be used to grabbing the Artifact gear. If you’re not a fan of how to gear looks on your character or just want to try out the new female Hrothgar, you should grab your free phial of Fantasia.
