By the time you get your bearings in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’re already inundated with a plethora of Materia. Because of this, you’ll want to make sure you have the best items for your party. Let’s scan some rocks and figure out where to get Item Economizer Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Where to find Item Economizer Materia in FF7 Rebirth
The name might not be recognizable for most FF7 Rebirth players, however, the Item Economizer Materia is one of the most helpful Command Materias in the game. And luckily for us, this Materia can be obtained early into your adventures. You can get 2 Item Economizer Materia from Chadley in the Junon Region during Chapter 4.

Like all other Materia Development, you’ll need to earn enough Data Points to collect these shiny orbs. The first Item Economizer Materia costs you 30 Data Points, with the second one costing 60. Data Points are obtained in their respective regions by completing tasks for Chadley. Tasks can range from activating a tower, defeating a specific group of enemies, scanning Lifesprings, and more.
How to use Item Economizer Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Once you’ve got your hands on that sweet yellow Materia, you should probably know how to use it. I myself was a bit perplexed when it came to this Materia. Thankfully, you can think of the Item Economizer Materia as a passive skill.
When equipped, the Materia allows you to use items in battle without expending your ATB gauge. That being said, there are a few stipulations to the Item Economizer Materia in FF7 Rebirth. For one, you must perform a few actions during battle for the Materia to activate. The number of ATB actions you have to perform before using a free item is dependent on the level of the Materia.
For example, at level 1, you must use your ATB gauge three times before the Item Economizer Materia activates. However, as the level of the Materia increases, the amount of times you need to use the ATB gauge decreases. If you want to use this as soon as possible and you completed the FF7 Rebirth demo, you’ll want to find out how to skip the Nibelheim section of the game.
