Sometimes, when I am playing through Diablo 4, I have to take a step back and just appreciate the set design by the Blizzard team. Both the Sepulcher of the Forsworn dungeon and the Altar of Ruin stronghold around it gave me a reason to pause. Without realizing it, I had descended into the fire and brimstone of a hellscape from the dusty wastes of Kehjistan. Both of these sets in this Sepulcher of the Forsworn Diablo 4 dungeon guide are well worth visiting for the environments alone. So, here’s how to find the Sepulcher of the Forsworn dungeon in Diablo 4.
Where to find the Sepulcher of the Forsworn in Diablo 4
If you’re looking to get all the renown and full completion of the map, you’ll have to clear all those dungeons and smash all the strongholds. The Sepulcher of the Forsworn is a dungeon hidden within a stronghold. These types of dungeons will appear on your area completion quests but may not appear on your map until you have defeated the Stronghold.
To find the Sepulcher of the Forsworn dungeon, you must first conquer the Altar of Ruin stronghold. This is located north of the Iron Wolves Encampment in Kehjistan. You must make your way through the tar pits until you find the gate that holds the Stronghold.
Defeating the Altar of Ruin
To the left of the gate, you will see a crawl space. Make your way through and head into the main chamber. Now you will face a few enemies, some of which are shielded. The shielded enemies will drop keystones which act as keys to the next area. Clear the space of bad guys, and collect three keys to move onto the next area in this Diablo 4 Stronghold.
Two rounds of minions precede the boss fight here. They must be beaten to drop Dark Cardinal Maldul’s shields. Once his shields are dropped, it is onto the damage phase. He will continually spawn more grunts to keep you busy. I would suggest you keep your distance and kite him into traps and conjurations. Once he has died, you can return to the main hall and kindle the shrine to finish the Stronghold. Now you are ready for the Sepulcher of the Forsworn dungeon in Diablo 4.
Beating the Sepulcher of the Forsworn
Stage one will have you searching for Animus Carriers around the first section of the dungeon. These guy’s aren’t hard to kill particularly, but they are spread out in every corner of the map. You will have to uncover every area before you find them. Once you have filled your Animus with the four Carriers, you can place their hellish juices in the vessel and move on to the next area.
Here, you must destroy the Demonic Corruptions. They are marked on your map with white symbols and are surrounded by mobs. The towers themselves aren’t tough to destroy. However, the mobs around them are pretty tricky, so I would suggest, if possible, keeping the mobs busy with summons while you focus on the tower.
The Seething Hivemaster is your final foe in the Sepulcher of the Forsworn dungeon in Diablo 4. He is a gross bug who surrounds himself with minions and constantly moving areas of damage and slowness. So, try to juggle dodging the slowing areas, killing minions, and hammering away at the boss. I found this boss relatively easy to kill, but it took some fancy footwork, and my Sorceress’s slow-burning damage was a real blessing.
Rewards for the Sepulcher of the Forsworn in Diablo 4
On competition of both this Stronghold and Dungeon, you will be rewarded with a total of 130 renown and the Hulking Aspect for the Necromancer. This Aspect gives the Golem a 1% chance to reduce its cooldown and a 1% chance to spawn a corpse every time it does damage. This doesn’t sound like a lot but think how much damage that brute does. It makes it well worth finding and completing the Sepulcher of the Forsworn dungeon in Diablo 4.
