Elden Ring: Where to find the Great Katana in Shadow of the Erdtree

The Great Katana is a perfect early Shadow of the Erdtree weapon to grab after arriving in the Land of Shadow for the first time. But where exactly can you grab this weapon? You can find the Great Katana in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree in the lake west of the Greatbridge, North Site of Grace.

After arriving in the Land of Shadow and getting the first map fragment, check out your map. In the northern area of the map as you go along the main path you’ll find a few small lakes clustered together. You’ll want to head towards the lake marked on the map above. On the eastern edge of the lake is the Greatbridge, North Site of Grace.

Now you’ll want to head into the lake toward the large form. As a heads up, this is a dragon, specifically the Ghostflame Dragon. You can actually get the Great Katana before awakening it, which makes it a lot easier to get the weapon. If you need help beating Ghostflame Dragon, we’ve got you covered.

Don’t get too close to the sleeping dragon. Instead, you’ll want to find the corpse on the ground with a shine on it, which means there’s an item on it. Grab the item, and you’ll have yourself the Great Katana! Here are the stats of the Great Katana:
