Before you go ahead and rip up all the stone you can find to get your hands on some, let me simply tell you where you can find it instead.

Where resin generates in Return to Moria

Return to Moria is a procedurally generated game, so no two Morias are the same. For this reason, I can’t tell you where exactly you can go to get some, unfortunately. But I can point you in the right direction. To save you loads of time, resin won’t spawn at the starting depth, in the Western Halls. You’ll need to go deeper.

If you haven’t got past the Western Halls yet, then simply keep progressing through the story. Soon, you’ll hit a point where you can go deeper into the mines. In this next layer, called the Lower Deeps, is resin will spawn. It will generate like coal and iron, and can be collected in the same way.

Resin is used for more complex recipes, so it’s no wonder it’s a more complicated resource to find. Thankfully, it isn’t scarce in the Lower Deeps, so you won’t have a hard time getting it once you’re there.

How to get to the Lower Deeps in Return to Moria

Despite the game being procedurally generated, there are some staples of every Moria that every player will go through. As you can’t escape Moria through the West Gate, you must travel to the East Gate, meaning you’ll have to go all the way through Moria.

Thankfully, the Lower Deeps is the second area of the game, and all it takes if you following the objective marker in the Western Halls and mining through any stone walls that are in your way between rooms. To prevent you from running back and forth between your camp and the next wall you need to break through, creating numerous camps on your journey is needed.

I hope this has been helpful, and that you’ll have your pocket lined in no time.
