Where to find Lumitoile in Genshin Impact

Lumitoile in Genshin Impact is a character and weapon ascension material that is found throughout the overworld in Fontaine. This item is a necessity to ascend different characters in the game, allowing you to level them up and make them stronger. Collecting these items to level up your characters will help make your teams even stronger, so it’s important to know the locations of these items in the game. Here’s our guide on how to get the Lumitoile item in Genshin Impact.

The Lumitoile item is a local specialty in Fontaine, meaning it’s an item you’ll only be able to find in that region. As an overworld material, you cannot craft it from any item. As of this writing, this item is also not available to buy in any shops. Here’s the item’s in-game description: “A soft-bodied animal that emits a gentle light. Often found climbing the walls of buildings near the water or underwater.”

How to get the Lumitoile in Genshin Impact

This item is an overworld item found throughout Fontaine. More specifically, it’s found in the new areas of Fontaine unlocked in Version 4.1. Below, you’ll find a map showing all the locations of Lumitoile currently in the game.

Note that some of these locations are underwater. You won’t be able to find all of the Lumitoile on land. Underwater locations have a small blue mark on the icon. Any Lumitoile found on land will not have the blue mark in the icon. There’s a chance HoYoverse will add more locations for Lumitoile in the future as well, so check back for any later additions.

How to use the Lumitoile item in Genshin Impact

The Lumitoile item is currently only used as a character enhancement material, although there’s a chance this item will be utilized for weapons in the future. As of this writing, the only character to utilize the Lumitoile as a character ascension material is Neuvillette. This character uses Lumitoile for character ascension, so you’ll need to farm these items if you want to level him up to level 90. Other characters will likely use this item in the future, so check back to see which characters use the Lumitoile item.
