In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll visit familiar locations on your way to find allies and push back darkness. There are a lot of old ruins, stables, and even a few towns where you will find hubs of activity, including side quests. Here is our guide telling you where to find Kakariko Village in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom – where to find Kakariko Village
Kakariko Village is an important destination where you’ll discover a series of ruins that feel from the sky during the aftermath of the Upheaval. It’s also a fun place to visit in general, to see how it has changed compared to its earlier depictions in A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time.
To find Kakariko Village, head southeast from Lookout Landing. The roads in that direction lead toward the West Necluda region. Kakariko Village is located on the northwestern end of that region. See the screenshot below for a map of its precise location.
You can approach most destinations in the game from north, south, east, and west. However, there usually are one or two best approaches. That’s particularly true for a place like Kakariko Village, which is surrounded by mountains.
One favored approach is to travel to Wetland Stable, which lies east and across Rebonae Bridge from Lookout Landing. From the stable, travel south while veering east. Skirt the Lanayru Wetlands and continue south to reach a point where the road continues southeast through some mountains. You’ll reach Kakariko Village along that route.
I prefer approaching from Dueling Peaks Stable, to the south. Located along the banks of the Squabble River, that stable was one of my favorite locations in Breath of the Wild. From the stables, head north along the road to reach Kakariko Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue following the trail. It ascends along a mountainside and through a ravine to Kakariko Village.
Once you reach Kakariko Village, make sure to climb the hill overlooking its rooftops to activate Makasura Shrine. That way, you can fast travel back to the village when needed.
