Where to find Iron Ore in Dave the Diver

There's always a space for iron ore in a video game.

Iron ore is one of various types of ore in Dave the Diver. It’s used to upgrade and craft weapons. Really, what’s any game with a crafting and upgrading system if there isn’t iron ore in it? Like every other ore, you must venture down into the sea of the Blue Hole to retrieve it. So on that note, here’s where to find iron ore in Dave the Diver for your next upgrades.

Iron ore locations in Dave the Diver

Iron ore is found around the Limestone Caverns area of the map, around the 100-120+ depth range. If there are spikes about and the currents are coming, chances are you’ll find an outcropping of iron ore nearby. The area around the sunken ship is a good rule of thumb for where to search around for iron ore. Iron ore is a lighter color than its cousins lead and copper. This allows you to pick it out by sight and not accidentally mine a different mineral mistaken for iron ore.

With where to find Iron Ore in Dave the Diver located, iron ore does not need a pickaxe to mine, thankfully. It is perfectly mineable with just your standard dive knife or any equivalent melee weapon if you approach it and hit it. You’ll get a yield of about three iron ore pieces per outcrop. The most challenging part of mining iron is avoiding the current throwing you into the deadly spikes rather than the act of mining itself.

Search around and gather up what you need, then simply be sure to make it back to the boat in one piece to keep the ore on you. You’re going to need it to craft and upgrade your weapons, after all.
