Where to find GPU in Warzone 2 DMZ

I wonder if it's a 4090...

Whether you’re a DMZ or Escape From Tarkov player, GPUs are rare, coveted items that players fight tooth and nail to acquire. In Warzone 2 DMZ, GPUs are used to unlock upgrades that last the entire season. The downside is you need 5 of them! Let me show you where to find a GPU in Warzone 2 DMZ, or at the very least, where to start looking.

The part that makes GPUs so rare in Warzone 2 DMZ is they don’t have a guaranteed spawn. If lady luck isn’t on your side, you could search key spawn areas raid after raid and leave empty-handed. It’s rumored that locked areas that require keys have a higher chance of spawning GPUs, but it’s hard to say for certain without official numbers.

With this in mind, I’ll list a few areas where GPUs are known to spawn, along with how contested the locations are likely to be.

Computer Towers

The most obvious place to find GPUs is inside PC Towers. These are scattered all over every map, so search every one you see. You’ll usually find Thumb Drives or Electrical Components in these but GPUs can also spawn. In my experience, the drop rate is meager, but it makes sense as PCs are so abundant.

Crypto Room – Saweh Village

On Al-Mazrah, there’s a flooded village to the south with a Crypto Mining Farm. I’ve not had much luck with GPUs here myself, but it’s widely known as a good place to find them. Beware, as players know about this location, the area is normally contested with enemy Operators. Even if other players don’t show up, AI density can be quite nasty in this zone.

Vondel – Stage Bag

There’s a stage at the map location circled above. There’s a locked bag on that stage, and it has a decent chance to spawn a GPU. The only issue is you’ll need a key to open the bag. Fortunately, these keys frequently spawn on HVTs all across Vondel. Another bonus with this area is the AI density is manageable and shouldn’t pose a problem even for solo players.

Ashika Island

GPUs are known to spawn in the buildings surrounding the castle in the center of the map. The only issue is Ashika is a hotbed for PVP, and if you’re unlucky, there are neverending UAVs to contend with. These buildings are a solid place to check if you’re playing in a squad or have the Stealth Vest.

Miscellaneous Spawns

Sadly, there’s no hard data for this, but there are numerous reports of GPUs spawning on random shelves across each map. As loot spawns are dynamic in Warzone 2 DMZ, GPUs can potentially appear in many places I’ve not mentioned. I don’t recommend checking every single loot spawn you come across, as you’ll never get anywhere, but it pays to be vigilant.

Why should I care about GPUs?

Insured Slots offer a risk-free way of securing your guns when you head into the DMZ. To unlock your 3rd Insured Slot, you need to extract with 5 GPUs. You also need 10 Gold Bars, 8 Gold Skulls, and 10 enemy Operator weapons. This shopping list will take a while to fulfill, but considering how elusive GPUs can be, try your best to extract when you find one.
