DMZ is a new extraction mode in Call of Duty. It’s all about entering Al Mazrah, looting what you need, and getting out without dying. One of the most useful items to extract is the Gas Mask, as it opens up so many other options. Here’s our guide on where to find Gas Masks in Warzone 2‘s DMZ game mode.
Note: We’ll have a Warzone 2.0 guides and features hub coming soon, so stay tuned.
Where to find Gas Masks in DMZ
The easiest way to obtain a Gas Mask is to purchase one. Gas Masks can be purchased from Buy Stations for $2,000. The Buy Stations in DMZ contain random stock, so it isn’t guaranteed that you’ll find what you want. If you open up a Buy Station and there is no Gas Mask, simply head over to the next closest one and try again.
Be aware that buy stations are common PvP hotspots. Other teams will be using them to purchase Armor Plates, Munitions Boxes, and more, so be ready for a gunfight as you get close. Be sure to listen out for gunfire as you approach, as other nearby players will most likely be shooting at the NPC soldiers that guard Buy Stations.
If you want to avoid getting into a gunfight, there is an alternative method. Gas Masks can also be obtained in DMZ by looting Legendary Crates. Legendary Crates are the orange supply boxes you encounter while looting around Al Mazrah. Gas Masks aren’t too rare for Legendary Crates, but don’t be surprised if it takes a few to find one.
Interestingly, Legendary Crates always spawn in the exact same location. This means that if you learn where they are, you can loot them every time to maximize your chances of getting Gas Masks in DMZ. As an added bonus, these orange boxes usually give large amounts of cash, well-equipped Contraband weapons, and even killstreaks.
Once you have a mask, you can infiltrate a Radiation Zone. There, you can hunt down the Chemist, who drops the M13B variant rifle.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is free to play on both Battle.net and on Steam.
