There are many important fish you need to look out for in Dave the Diver. Not only do certain fish make great dishes at your sushi bar, but they’ll also give you fish drops. Some fish drops are required for weapon upgrades, such as the Cuttlefish Skin Fragment. But where exactly can you find Cuttlefish to catch them in Dave the Diver? We’ll answer your questions below.
Dave the Diver: How to find and catch Cuttlefish
If you’re looking to upgrade a weapon with tranquilizing properties, you’ll need a few Cuttlefish Skin Fragments. Where you can find the Cuttlefish in Dave the Diver is 50-130 meters deep in the Blue Hole. In the area just before the Blue Hole Depths, you’ll find groups of Cuttlefish. They look like squids, which makes sense since they’re cephalopods.
You’ll know when you’ve found one when they spray you with ink if you get too close. Catching a Cuttlefish isn’t as easy as just killing it with your weapon or Harpoon. That’ll give you a one-star Cuttlefish, but I’ll tell you how to properly catch one. If you have a Tranquilizer Gun, or a Net Gun, using them on the Cuttlefish will get you a high-grade catch, typically three stars.
Getting a Cuttlefish Skin Fragment or two may take a few tries. There are RNG elements to getting fish drops, so catch some Cuttlefish in nets or put them to sleep to nab those fragments. Once you have enough, you can upgrade some of your weapons to have a tranquilizing element.
If you’ve unlocked the Fish Farm, I recommend you get some Cuttlefish eggs from catching them, so you can farm them! That way, you won’t have to keep diving for those cephalopods in the future. Make sure to at least have two Cuttlefish in your farm so they can reproduce.
Dave the Diver is available on Steam.
