Tears Of The Kingdom Billson Mushrooms Guide

Where to find Billson Mushrooms in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

This is a mean trick.

On the way to unlocking the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower to expose the Lanayru region on the map, you’ll be stopped by a Rito named Billson. The door to the tower is mysteriously jammed, and there’s no obvious way to get in. Luckily, all Billson needs are some Billson Mushrooms to presumably open the door. It’s a bit odd that there are mushrooms named after Billson, but that’s not important right now. Here’s how you can find some Billson Mushrooms in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: Where to get Billson Mushrooms

Billson will say that there are some Mushrooms in the cave just below the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. At this point, well done if you think there’s something fishy about this whole thing. Billson Mushrooms don’t actually exist anywhere in Tears of the Kingdom. So I’m sorry for playing along with the trick that the game tried to pull over us all. The solution to solving this tower is located in this cave though.

The real solution to the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower is in a small room in the Sahasra Slope Cave. When you enter the cave, make sure to destroy all the rubble blocking the way. Along the right-hand wall, you’ll eventually come across a small chamber within the cave. If you’re having trouble finding it, make sure to clear all the rocks along the wall and the room should just be around the first right corner. Then all you need to do is Ascend through the protruding rock in the center of the ceiling.

This is a particularly nasty trick to pull on players. Thankfully there’s nothing else like the Billson Mushrooms misdirect in Tears of the Kingdom. If you want to feel a bit better about being lied to, cheer yourself up by grabbing the Fierce Deity Armor. Better yet, learn how to build a simple Hovercraft to get across lakes.
