Where to find Barreleye in Dave the Diver

The barreleye sees all. Unfortunately, so do you.

In real life, barreleye are deep sea abyss-dwelling fish with a unique appearance making them stick out. They have transparent heads, allowing you to see their entire ocular setup inside their head. This unconventional and bizarre appearance makes them a popular choice of fish to showcase in video games, and Dave the Diver is no exception. Barreleye can be found midway into the game and used for your own sushi purposes. Here’s where to find barreleye in Dave the Diver.

To find barreleye, you must unlock the Glacier Passage in the game. That means progressing the story to Chapter 5: Frozen Passage by helping the Sea People unlock the way with a key, after you’ve finished bearing an entire cavern full of mutated murderous Sea People. Once you’ve unlocked and have access to the Glacier Passage, you can easily come back using the Sea People mirror and swimming over its entrance. And each time you come down, barreleyes are right there in the first room.

Now that you’ve located where to find Barreleye in Dave the Diver, you’ll find barreleyes are passive and do not damage you in any way. They will most likely take multiple Harpoon spears to harvest depending on your upgrades, but that’s about it. You won’t have any trouble catching barreleyes. Each one weighs three kilograms, so you can also carry a lot of them at once if you wish to. Barreleyes are a rank seven fish or two stars, and each one caught produces two sushi.

At level one, barreleye sushi costs 70 gold, has a 28 in best taste, and serves one person each. For base level without enhancement, that’s not a bad investment for something you can grab several of easily. Deep sea fish come in handy like that!
