Where to find and farm Hearty Radish in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Slightly rad.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lets you make all sorts of delicious recipes, but a surprisingly small percentage of them involve traditional vegetables. Mostly, you see carrots and pumpkins. However, there’s another vegetable you won’t want to miss. This guide tells you where to find and farm Hearty Radish in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – where to find and farm Hearty Radish

The Wellspring Island area in Lanayru Sky Archipelago is the best place to find Hearty Radish. Each time there is a Blood Moon, consider making that area one of your first stops. Focus on the parts near the island’s southeastern sector. The above screenshot shows a closeup view of that island, with yellow petals to indicate the exact places you should look

Hearty Radishes, like other ‘hearty’ ingredients in Hyrule, temporarily add hearts to your life meter when consumed. Early in the game, you may not have cleared a lot of shrines to extend your meter. You also might not have the best armor. The heart extension effect is particularly valuable during such times.

Unfortunately, the Hearty Radish isn’t easy to reliably access until a ways into the game. To find and farm Hearty Radishes, you must look around the more remote sky islands.

Reaching the Lanayru Sky Archipelago is easy once you have the Zora Armor. You can use it to swim up the giant waterfall near Mipha Court. Once you arrive, use the floating bubbles to ascend to Igoshon Shrine and activate it. Then you can fast travel directly to the island whenever you’re ready to farm. Once you activate the Water Temple entrance, head there first and then descend to any lower islands where you want to farm. Watch out for Construct enemies along the way.

You can also launch from Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower to reach the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago. You’ll find Hearty Radishes to farm in that area. Get to them conveniently in the future by activating Mayanas Shrine near the highest point and then descending. Exploration is still risky, however. Hearty Radishes also grow on other sky islands, but not as abundantly. They are always quite rare.
