Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth lets you craft potions, healing items, and other resources instead of buying them, but you’ll need to stock up on crafting materials and ingredients to make enough of your favorite items.

If you’re having trouble finding certain resources out in the open world, then you may be wondering if any stores just sell crafting ingredients outright. Thankfully, you can purchase crafting resources from certain shops in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but you may be surprised to learn who sells them.

Can You Buy Crafting Resources in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Crafting materials can be purchased from Tack Shops in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. These are vendors located at Chocobo Ranches and certain settlements throughout the world marked with a feather icon on the map. The main purpose of Tack Shops is to exchange Golden Plumes for Chocobo gear, but you can also choose “Buy” instead of “Trade” when visiting a Tack Shop to purchase resources and crafting ingredients.

You can purchase any crafting materials that you’ve previously discovered, even the rarest of the rare ingredients like Planet’s Blessing and Planet’s Spirit. These can be pretty pricey, though, so you may just be better off purchasing the items that you’re trying to craft instead of buying all of the necessary ingredients to make them yourself. Some items (like Giga Potions) aren’t sold at shops, however, so using the Item Transmuter might be your only hope.

You can find Tack Shops in every region of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and each Tack Shop will carry crafting ingredients from every region so there’s no need to fast travel all over the world to hunt down the resources that you’re missing. Tack Shop inventories will expand as you progress through the game and discover new resources too, so make sure to check back often to see what’s new. If you want to keep raising your Craftsmanship level, you’ll need to make use of Tack Shop services quite often.
