WoW Classic is beloved among fans, and within the golden days of World of Warcraft are some iconic dungeons, such as Blackrock Depths and Shadowfang Keep. The latter is where players will want to venture to around level 20-30 in Classic WoW, and we’re going to run over where the dungeon is within WoW.
WoW Classic Season of Discovery: Where is Shadowfang Keep
While classes are getting new spells thanks to the newly added Runes, players are still going to want to venture to their beloved dungeons, and one of these is Shadowfang Keep.
The esteemed dungeon has been around within WoW for quite some time, and it’s one of the original dungeons where players would be able to farm XP and gear, and it can prove to be quite difficult if you’re not prepared.
To locate Shadowfang Keep, players will first want to head over to the Eastern Kingdoms and navigate towards the Silverpine Forrest region of the map.
Once there, you’re going to want to head south until you see a mighty castle, and you’ll know that you’re in the right place, as the area is rather depressing and desolate.

There’s also a handy flight path right next to Shadowfang Keep, so if you get lost or don’t want to walk back, then you’ll be able to take a Gryphon flight here.
Within the dungeon are numerous bosses and mini-bosses that players will need to tackle, and all of them are noted below.
- Rethilgore
- Razorclaw the Butcher
- Odo the Blindwatcher
- Baron Silverlaine
- Commander Springvale
- Fenrus the Devourer
- Wolf Master Nandos
- Archmage Arugal
This is quite the batch of bosses within the dungeon, and modern-day WoW players may be a bit confused about the abundance of bosses, but only after WoW Cataclysm was the dungeon changed to reflect the new five bosses we see.
So, be sure to dive into Shadowfang Keep to see what the dungeon is all about in Classic WoW, and especially with the new Runes in Season of Discovery.
