With Modern Warfare 3 being the next title in the iconic franchise, the news cycle for CoD has taken a turn, and Infinity Ward is looking to improve all aspects of their game.
This includes Warzone. Changes are coming, which could indicate a brand new Warzone is on the way for players.
Is Warzone 3 Being Released?
Warzone 2.0 premiered alongside Modern Warfare 2 2022 last year, and while it didn’t have the widespread success that the original Warzone had, it still offers some of the best battle royale gameplay around.
With many only playing Call of Duty for Warzone in recent years, it’s only natural for Infinity Ward to shift a large portion of their focus into the new CoD back into Warzone. This was a significant emphasis during the reveal blogs regarding Modern Warfare 3, as there was an entirely separate one for Warzone and the changes players are going to experience.
As shown in the video above, players are going to get to land on the brand new map, Urzikstan, which is going to be released on November 10, 2023, alongside the full release of MW3.
So, technically, Warzone 3 is going to be released on November 10, but Infinity Ward isn’t exactly calling it Warzone 3. They’re going back to just Warzone.
In terms of details surrounding the new map, they’ve noted the following.
“Positioned in Western Asia on the eastern border of the Black Sea, Urzikstan plays an important role in the Modern Warfare series. Bordering the Republic of Adal — the location of Call of Duty: Warzone’s Al Mazrah map — Urzikstan has only recently come out from under the thumb of dictator Roman Barkov due to a joint operation between the CIA, SAS, and the Urzikstan Liberation Force founded by Farah Karim following the Tobrak Prison Break.”
So, be sure to let us know if you’re amped for the brand new Warzone map.
