When does Destiny 2 Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon release? Date and time, explained

Dungeons are the best part of Destiny 2

Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish drops on November 28 and runs through June 2024. Besides the usual seasonal content like new weapons and armor, Guardians also have a new Dungeon to look forward to. It’s not open on day one of the season, so here’s when you can dive in with your Fireteam.

Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon: Release Date and Time

The Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon goes live on December 1 at 9 am PT (5 pm GMT) on all platforms. This is the 2nd Dungeon in the year of Lightfall, following Ghosts of the Deep from Season of the Deep. If you’ve purchased the Lightfall Annual Pass, access to Warlord’s Ruin is included. Otherwise, you’ll need to buy a Lightfall Dungeon Key from the in-game shop.

Is the Fireteam Finder coming with the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon?

One exciting feature coming to Destiny 2 in the near future is the Fireteam Finder. Hopefully, this system will be the best way to find other Guardians for group content without relying on external sources.

Although Fireteam Finder would be great for a new Dungeon, Bungie has stated it’s not ready just yet. There’s a tentative release date of late January 2024 on Bungie’s news page, but as with any new system, this date may change.

The Fireteam Finder has a stress test due on November 30, but the news release says adding social features like this is challenging. Regardless, what we’ve seen of the Fireteam Finder looks impressive and will hopefully make Dungeons and Raids more approachable than ever before.

Every Dungeon so far has Triumphs available for beating it solo, and Warlord’s Ruin is likely to be the same. If you’d prefer to wait for a group, the Fireteam Finder may be a perfect solution when it launches next year.
