Welcome back, The Whisper and Zero Hour!

Destiny 2 Zero Hour Exotic Mission release date and time

The Destiny 2 Into the Light Developer Livestream #3 revealed to us that Zero Hour is coming in May. They didn’t give us a specific date, but we know that we are getting The Whisper first and then Zero Hour second.

Zero Hour is a Secret Exotic Mission that was available in Season of the Drifter which was season six. It was vaulted but is now back with Destiny 2 Into the Light. It’s unique because it is a timed mission and there’s a maze that’s guarded by TR3-VR, the loveable murderous machine. Zero Hour and The Whisper have been revamped and will feature different secrets, more enemies, and upgraded bosses.

What are the Outbreak Perfected craftable perks?

Unique to Zero Hour is the Outbreak Perfected Exotic Pulse Rifle. Whether you already have an Outbreak Perfected or need to complete Zero Hour to get one, Outbreak Perfected is now craftable and features four craftable perks that unlock with special weekly Zero Hour quests. It works very similarly to the Starcrossed Exotic Mission for Wish-Keeper.

Here are the four Outbreak Perfected Intrinsic Perks that can be slotted in:

  • Outlaw – Precision kills greatly decrease reload time.
  • Rapid Hit – Rapid precision hits temporarily increase stability and reload speed.
  • Rewind Rounds – When this weapon’s magazine is empty, it refills from reserves based on the number of hits.
  • Headseeker – Body shots landed with this weapon increase precision damage and aim assist for a short time. Body shots landed while the perk is active refresh the time.

Destiny 2 The Whisper Exotic Mission release date and time

In the third Destiny 2 Developer Livestream, we learned that The Whisper is releasing in Destiny 2 at the start of Into the Light. That means that we can jump into The Whisper after the weekly reset on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

The Whisper is another Secret Exotic Mission in Destiny 2 that has come and gone and is now returning. Completing it gives you the Whisper of the Worm Exotic Sniper Rifle which is one of the best Exotics.

What are the Whisper of the Worm craftable perks?

Whisper of the Worm is now craftable. Whether you own Whisper of the Worm, get it through Monument to Lost Lights, or complete The Whisper Exotic Mission to get it, you can visit The Enclave on Mars to craft it.

Whisper of the Worm has four unlockable perks that you can earn by completing quests within The Whisper Exotic Mission which is released weekly. Here are the four Whisper of the Worm Intrinsic Perks available when crafting:

  • Mulligan – Missing a shot has a chance to return ammo directly to the magazine.
  • Field Prep – Increased ammo reserves. Faster reload, stow, and ready when you’re crouching.
  • No Distractions – Aiming this weapon for a short period reduces flinch.
  • Enlightened Action – Dealing damage improves reload speed and handling.

I’m excited to play through Zero Hour and The Whisper in Destiny 2. While I wait, I’ll still be grinding for the Buried Bloodline Catalyst.
