What to feed the Panda Shitieshou demon in Wo Long

Bamboo shoots won't get it done.

There’s not a lot in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty that qualifies as cute, but the Shitieshou demon is a notable exception. It looks like a cross between a panda and a sloth. You’ll find one in nearly every location you visit, starting with ‘The Valley of Crying Wraiths,’ and it turns out they’re hungry. Here’s our guide on what to feed the panda Shitieshou demon in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Wo Long – Time to feed the hungry Panda Shitieshou demon

Most pandas here in the real world tend to like bamboo shoots and leaves. The more demonic variety has different ideas. It makes a snack out of a lot of objects and accessories you might otherwise take to the blacksmith’s shop.

To satisfy the panda Shitieshou demon in Wo Long, feed it metal things, as that results in better rewards. Examples of a suitable meal include metal crafting materials (for example, Rank 5 Steel), Jewel Fragments, Qi Fragments, Ammo, Weapons, and accessories.

If you’re having trouble feeding the Shitieshou, there are a few things to keep in mind. The first is that you can feed one only once per visit to a main battlefield or sub battlefield. The panda Shitieshou that congregate in Hidden Village won’t let you feed them at all. You also need to set the food right in front of the creature. It’s not a bad idea to brush against it yourself, then select the item you’re ready to feed it from the menu. Choose the Drop’ option to put your offering right in front of the demon.

In general, it seems like the better the object you give the Shitieshou, the better the item you should receive in return. This isn’t always the case, however. A single Jewel Fragment can produce every bit as good a reward as 1,000 of them handed over at once might, for instance. Quantity doesn’t seem to matter, and you shouldn’t waste a treasured item. Basically, treat the demon as a little panda garbage disposal. Give it only (metal) things you don’t have a better use for. When you do, it might surprise you by coughing up a nice accessory in return.
