Remnant 2 doesn’t expect you to get everything right the first time around. Replayability is the name of the game with this production from Gunfire Games. Exploration and innovation are almost always rewarded with something better than what lies at the end of the beaten path. For me, looking around a little more resulted in me getting my hands on an Amulet that absolutely amplified my Medic build. The Shining Essence Echo in Remnant 2 can be used for more than meets the eye as long as you know where to look.
The two uses for Shining Essence Echo in Remnant 2
After beating Tal’Ratha in Remnant 2, you will be awarded the Shining Essence Echo. This material is initially requested by the Custodian in the Ascension Spire. It is pretty hard to miss as it sits right in the middle of Abyssal Rift in N’Erud provided you’re on a roll with the Forgotten Prison starting area. You can spot it in the Abyssal Rift by its enormous statue dominating the map. Make your way over this to make your choice as to what to do with your Remnant 2 Shining Essence Echo.
Option #1 Give it to the Custodian
The first and only option you may find initially is to give it to the Custodian. He demands it for the betterment of his people. If you decide to give it to him, you will receive the Siphon Heart. This is a great heart and can boost any build. It grants 10% Lifesteal for 10 seconds. Once you’ve popped it, you need to hammer away at enemies to fill your life gauge. However, with my Medic and her trusty Bonesaw, the next option worked much better for me.
Option #2 Give Shining Essence Echo to the Drzyr Replicator
As you make your way into the Ascension Spire, rather than heading straight on to the Custodian, take a left and head behind the statues. Here you will find a dropdown that leads to the Drzyr Replicator. This can craft a number of wonderful things for your character in Remnant 2, but the one we want is the Void Idol.
Using the Shining Essence Echo, 15 hardened iron, and 1000 scrap, you can craft this amulet. It reduces reload speed by an amazing 20%, and you can now fully reload with only 50% of a magazine. This makes the Bonesaw a monster in Remnant 2.
