What to do with the Basket of Draconic Flowers in World of Warcraft Dragonflight: Azure Lily, Obsidian Iris, Time-Touched Daisy, Viridian Bloom, Ruby Blossom

These flowers will leave you glowing.

Players who complete the Gather Your Rosebuds quest during the Personal Tabard questline in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight are rewarded a Basket of Draconic Flowers. But what’s the secret behind these flowers? Are they safe to delete? Do they perhaps lead to a new mystery to solve?

This guide explains everything you need to know about the Basket of Draconic Flowers and what to do with the Ruby Blossom, Viridian Bloom, Azure Lily, Obsidian Iris, and Time-Touched Daisy.

How to use the Ruby Blossom, Viridian Bloom, Azure Lily, Obsidian Iris, and Time-Touched Daisy in World of Warcraft

All five flowers from the Basket of Draconic Flowers are consumables that apply a five-minute cosmetic buff when used. There’s seemingly no hidden secret to discover, and the flowers are simply a fun little bonus in one of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s final quests.

Despite not being labeled as consumables, right-clicking a draconic flower will consume it and apply particle effects relating to their respective Dragonflight around your character.

  • Ruby Blossom applies a red flame effect with rising petal particles.
  • Viridian Bloom turns your character green with a green glow around the head.
  • Azure Lily applies a magical blue glow effect.
  • Obsidian Iris applies small floating rock particles around the torso.
  • Time-Touched Daisy applies a subtle yellow time magic effect.

Only one of these effects can be active at a time, so be careful not to use a flower while another is active. Unless you aren’t vibing with floating pebbles.

Is the Basket of Draconic Flowers safe to delete?

If you don’t care about making your character glow, you can safely delete the Basket of Draconic Flowers and all the flowers contained inside. They aren’t required for any future quests, including those that follow Gather Your Rosebuds.

If you’ve already opened the basket, it’s far quicker to right-click and use all the flowers rather than delete them. You can also keep them in your bank or Void Storage as a keepsake.

Can you get more draconic flowers?

Unfortunately, for those who found an effect that perfectly matches their transmog, draconic flowers can only be obtained once per character. The Basket of Draconic Flowers is a one-time reward from Gather Your Rosebuds, and the flowers can’t be sold at the Auction House or sent to alts.

If you are looking for some cool pieces to spruce up your style, Antique Bronze Bullion, added in Season 4, can be spent on an incredible jellycat mount or pieces of gear from Dragonflight’s past raids.
