What special editions does Payday 3 have?

Which Payday 3 edition are you getting?

Like almost every game released these days, Payday 3 has multiple editions that each give you something different. The Payday 3 editions are the Standard Edition, Silver Edition, Gold Edition, Day One Edition, and Collector Edition. Here is what every Payday 3 edition gets you and which one is worth it.

All Payday 3 editions, explained

There are five Payday 3 editions to choose from. The Standard, Silver, and Gold Editions are digital-exclusive and the Day One and Collector Edition are physical-exclusive. Some offer the season passes, others offer special cosmetics, but all of them get you full access to Payday 3.

The only thing that makes the Standard and the Day One Edition different is one is digital and the other is physical. The rest of the editions are pretty self-explanatory. Here is what every Payday 3 edition gets you:

  • Payday 3 Standard Edition – Digital – $39.99
    • Base game
  • Payday 3 Day One Edition – Physical – $39.99
    • Base game
  • Payday 3 Silver Edition – Digital – $69.99
    • Base game, Dark Sterling Mask, first season pass
  • Payday 3 Gold Edition – Digital – $89.99
    • Base game, Dark Sterling Mask, Golden States Globes, Skull of Liberty Mask, first and second season pass
  • Payday 3 Collector Edition – Physical – $129.99
    • Base game, physical box, physical Solidius Mask, Dark Sterling Mask, Golden States Globes, Skull of Liberty Mask, first and second season pass

Which Payday 3 edition is worth it?

If you’re a die-hard Payday 3 fan, then go for the Collector Edition (if you can get your hands on it). If you’ve never played a Payday game before, the Standard Edition is definitely worth it since it’s not the price of a full game. That, or at least try it on Game Pass.

If you know you’ll be playing Payday 3 for a long time regardless of seeing for yourself if it’s good, then the Gold Edition is worth it to get the season passes. However, there is risk there since you’re shelling out a lot of money on a game you haven’t tried yet. You can always upgrade your digital edition or purchase the season passes individually later which I highly recommend doing.
