Last Epoch: What is Weaver’s Will and Legendary Potential?

Item mechanics and stats can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if you are just learning a new game. Now that Last Epoch has left its Early Acces stage, many new players will explore Eterra and find all of its goods across the world, dungeons, and dropped by enemies. Sooner rather than later, they will come across two stats that may need a little bit of clarification. Don’t worry, we have you covered. Here is everything you need to know about Legendary Potential and Weaver’s Will in Last Epoch.

Legendary Potential, explained

Legendary Potential is a value that goes from 0 to 4 on Unique items. Crafting Legendaries requires both Unique — or Set — and Exalted items. This is because you will have to combine both to craft them. The end product and its affixes depend on the Legendary Potential of the Unique item. The more Legendary Potential, the more affixes from the Exalted item are transferred to the resulting Legendary item. For example, if you have a Legendary Potential of 3, then three affixes from the Exalted item will be picked randomly and applied to the newly crafted Legendary. A Legendary Potential of 4 will successfully transfer all of the Exalted item’s affixes to the Legendary.

Weaver’s Will, explained

Weaver’s Will is a stat that acts similarly to Legendary Potential in the sense that it is used to craft Legendary items. However, instead of the traditional craft, Weaver’s Will will generate a Legendary item by just killing a certain amount of enemies with the said item equipped. The more experience you get by defeating enemies, the more affixes and suffixes you will get, as well as more affix tiers. This stat is rarer than Legendary Potential and it is mutually exclusive, meaning that you won’t find an item with both Legendary Potential and Weaver’s Will.
