The Finals is one of the hooter shooters of the season, and for good reason. It mixes the gameplay of games like Battlefield and Valorant, and it puts it all together.
However, with it being such a popular game, The Finals might have server issues. There’s been some time between the launch of the open beta and now, so let’s see what the server status of The Finals looks like.
The Finals: What is the server status?
At the time of writing this article and from playing a few games prior, I found that the servers for The Finals have stabilized. While it did take longer than normal to get into Quick Cash and Tournament, disconnecting wasn’t a problem. So it seems that Embark Studios has solved the server capacity issues — for now.
If you played the game when the open beta first launched, getting into a match would be impossible due to the large number of players logging on at once for the Finals. Thankfully, the shooter is now firing on all cylinders.
However, even if I’m not having issues, you might. Sadly that’s how online games work nowadays. No experience is universal. If you are having problems getting into the game because of the server, there are ways to see if the servers are down for The Finals. Sadly there are no third-party resources you can use like Down Detector which will give you a snapshot of the problem. But for now, you might need to follow them on X.
But if you’re still getting matchmaking issues after everything has been fixed, check out this guide to fix the matchmaking. It might help.
While server issues may have been resolved, you should still expect other problems to arise as the beta plays out. This can be attributed to the fact that it’s an online-only game. Hopefully, when The Finals is out in the wild full all these problems might be resolved.
