The world of motoring is no stranger to rare and expensive cars. Therefore, it’s only natural that a game that celebrates car culture like Forza Horizon 5 would include some of these immensely valuable vehicles. But of all the pricy options in Forza Horizon 5, which is the most expensive car you can buy?

What is the most expensive car in Forza Horizon 5?
There are a few extremely expensive cars that you can purchase in the Autoshow. Some examples include the Ferrari 250 California (1957) coming in at 18.5 million credits and the Jaguar D-Type (1956) at 22 million credits. Both of these are edged out by the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (1965), which costs a whopping 30 million credits.
However, 30 million credits is nothing compared to what you’ll have to pay for the most expensive car. The most expensive car in Forza Horizon 5 is the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR (1955), which costs a staggering 143 million credits from the Autoshow. This valuation is based on a real-life auction sale where the 300 SLR was sold for $142 million.
However, there is a method that makes acquiring rare cars like the 300 SLR and Daytona Coupe more accessible to your average player. As these cars can be earned through, wheelspins their true in-game value is nowhere close to what the Autoshow is charging. Searching for these cars in the Auction House will let you acquire them for much less.
Instead of spending 143 million credits on the most expensive car in Forza Horizon 5, you can buy a 300 SLR for less than 13 million credits from the Auction House. Equally, The Shelby Cobra Daytona has hundreds of listing on the auction house at under 2 million credits. Neither of these is cheap, but it’s much easier to work towards owning them this way than relying on the Autoshow.
Forza Horizon 5 can be purchased on Steam, the Xbox Store, and is available on PC Game Pass.
