With the new Rift in Time DLC for Disney Dreamlight Valley, players are now wondering what monkeys like to eat. Of course the obvious answer would be bananas, but is that even true?
There are many little critters you can feed and befriend throughout the valley, and now there are new ones on Eternity Isle. Let me explain what monkeys enjoy eating.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Rift in Time: How to feed and befriend monkeys
To even find monkeys, you need to progress the Rift in Time DLC main quest and reach Eternity Isle. They should start to appear around Ancient’s Landing, the first area of this new place. What monkeys like to eat in Disney Dreamlight Valley are five-star meals. These are very fancy monkeys.
Although you may have thought bananas are fine, it seems as though monkeys love five-star meals such as Fish Creole or Vegetarian Tacos. You can walk up to most creatures in Disney Dreamlight Valley and they’ll allow you to feed them right away. Monkeys are a little different.

To feed a monkey, you need to chase them around a few times. As soon as I walked up to my first monkey, they ran away pretty quickly. After chasing them around for less than a minute, they finally sat still and allowed me to give them food.
Cook up a five-star meal and select the meal in your inventory after interacting with the monkey. You can actually befriend the critters this way. To befriend a monkey, give them a couple of five-star meals. Because, again, extremely fancy monkeys with expensive taste.
Creatures will typically become your friend after two or so meals, so see if it works the same with the monkey. Just remember that you can only give food to a critter once per day, so it may take a couple of days before the bougie monkeys start to like you.
