You can meet Malanya the Horse God in the Deep Akkala region, at the end of a canyon located just about due west from the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. To get to that area quickly, head north from East Akkala Stable or the nearby Jochi-iu Shrine. Below is a map showing the location of Malanya Spring, where meetings occur.

When you meet with Malanya, you can revive registered horses that have perished after presenting an Endura Carrot. See our guide on how to revive horses for more information. During a meeting with the Horse God, you can also present food made following special recipes to improve a registered horse’s stats.

Offering the right dish will improve the mount of your choice in one of four categories: Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Pull. They can reach a maximum rating of five stars in any category.

Strength

  • Fried Wild Greens (2) – Hyrule Herb
  • Copious Fried Wild Greens (3) – Hyrule Herb, Silent Princess, Blue Nightshade, Swift Carrot
  • Veggie Rice Balls (4) – Hylian Rice (2), Hyrule Herb
  • Hot Buttered Apple (5) – Goat Butter, Apple

Speed

  • Steamed Tomatoes (4) – Hylian Tomato, Hyrule Herb
  • Veggie Cream Soup (5) – Fresh Milk, Rock Salt, Swift Carrot
