People looking forward to Ghostlight’s PC port of Way of the Samurai 4 (like me, for instance) will have to wait a bit longer than previously thought, as the game is now expected in February.
It previously had a tentative release date of “late January,” but the Steam store page for the game now says February 2015. I’ve not been able to dig up an official announcement about this, but there is a mid-January post from Ghostlight in this Steam community forum thread heavily implying that the game will be delayed.
“It’s taking longer than expected unfortunately. We’re still hoping we can get it out by late January but it might not make it,” the unnamed developed writes.
Way of the Samurai 4 casts you as a master-less samurai in the mid-19th Century. The games tend to be structured as relatively short, but with multiple branching pathways and customisation options, making them rewarding to replay. Plus a lot of added silliness.
This is the first one to make the trip across to PC-land, so those of us who’ll be playing Way of the Samurai 4 for the first time (also like me, for instance) will find out exactly what they’re about in February.
