Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is coming to the PC so watch this to see what all the fuss is about.

Hideo Kojima didn’t manage to keep the PC version under wraps for long and it’s great to see Konami and Kojima committed to the PC for this release which is now listed on Steam.

With Gamescom now well underway, we’ve got our hands on fifteen minutes of gameplay action which covers many of the key game mechanics that will appear in Kojima’s latest stealth title. This video covers the same mission as a video released at E3, with Snake trying to infiltrate an outpost in Afghanistan to get information on a captured comrade of his, but shows the game’s replayability by indicating how missions can differ based on all sorts of factors. The video gives a good look at stealth, base infiltration, some of the weapons and techniques at your disposal, how being detected can make things considerably harder, and how enemies will learn to counter your tactics, amongst other things.

You’ll also see how horse poo can be used to disable a jeep and how the Fulton magic balloon can be used to abduct surprised-looking goats, because this is a Kojima game and the man has an interesting sense of humour.

There’s still no release date for the PC version but as soon as we have one we’ll let you know. The game is looking like it could be rather special, but make up your own minds by watching this excellent video which comes with commentary.
